Accessibility does not live in a policy document; it lives in the pavement. I walked my district counting the state of the tactile paving, and 40% of it was damaged or non-standard.
From that data I proposed a vibration-feedback navigation aid. It never reached implementation and stayed at concept stage — it is recorded here not as a result but as an origin. “Accessibility & Aging” is still one of my research interests.
